About Us:
AppliedOrtho® Physical Therapy is dedicated to helping people achieve a fully satisfying lifestyle, free from pain and functional impairment. Because of the complex nature of chronic myofascial pain and its' multiple causes, we have developed an integrative approach that combines a firm knowledge of biomechanics and movement impairments with theories from the following pain treatment philosophies and modalities:
Osteopathic Manual Therapy:
Specific techniques, such as joint manipulation/mobilization, muscle energy and myofascial manipulation, aimed at decreasing pain by restoring normal joint function.
Intramuscular Manual Therapy (Myofascial Trigger Point Dry NeedlingTherapy):
Specific pain relief technique used to inactivate chronic myofascial trigger points in order to decrease myofascial pain, and improve muscle function.
Neuromechanical Therapy (ETPS)/Meridian Therapy:
According to Eastern Medicine, disease occurs when there is a distruption in the body's energy flow along a meridian channel. Meridian therapy/ETPS involves the stimulation of various relevant acupoints along a meridian channel, with the use of low intensity direct current. Stimulation of these points causes the release of the body's natural pain relievers and helps restore proper energy flow throughtout the body.
Deep Tissue Class IV Laser Therapy:
A non surgical option for the treatment of pain. The LCT-1000 works by flooding the tissues with photons, energizing the damaged cells and increasing circulation to the painful area. This produces a cascade of healing responses in the body which assist with the elimination of pain.
Postural Therapy:
Science and research has repeatedly demonstrated that poor posture can lead to structural misalignments, muscular imbalances, joint and nerve compressions, movement compensations and pain.
Through our integrative approach we are capable of assisting most clients resolve their painful condition and find relief through natural, non-surgical methods.
Patient care is first and foremost at AppliedOrtho® Physical Therapy. Most of our clients report that the quality and type of pain relief care they received at AppliedOrtho Physical Therapy far exceeded their previous physical therapy experiences.
